Each year in Pollock Pines we wait for the snow to fall on the Dogwood blossoms. The snow on the blossoms is the sign that the last snow has fallen for the season and the boating season has begun. This year the snow fell on the blossoms on 5/9 now we can remove the boat covers and get ready for a great season.

These boxes attract the bats that come and eat all those nasty bugs that give campers the willies. Along the nature boardwalk there is a station that explains a little about the bats and shows species common to the area.
