Circle the lake or wander to Park Creek Falls through pine and cedar.

The signature hike at Jenkinson Lake is the loop that circles the entire lake — an 8.5-mile trail that closely follows the shoreline all the way around. It rolls through shaded forest, crosses footbridges, and opens to sweeping water views. Most of it is easy to moderate, with a shorter, more difficult section on the south shore.

Side trails lead to Park Creek Falls, quiet inlets, and prime bird-watching spots where bald eagles and osprey are often seen. In spring the creeks run full and wildflowers line the path. Sections in the Main and Hazel Meadow day-use areas are wheelchair accessible.

Trailheads: start from the day-use areas or the dam. The loop is shared with cyclists and horses and traffic runs both directions, so keep right and pass with care. A few north-shore stretches follow the roadway — watch for cars.
